“As a seasoned nurse, I have a nose for sniffing out a good team. Dr. Tandon, Monica, and Christina, of whom I’ve encountered the most, have been not only exceptional with their practice, but they are a delight to be around and make the encounter all the easier. I would highly recommend them to my own family and friends. From my multiple visits I have always felt well taken care of! Thank you!”
Varicose veins are enlarged veins that appear on the surface of the skin. They may be dark purple or blue and they may bulge and twist. Smaller varicose veins, known as spider veins, look like angry red lines that may appear alone or in a web-like pattern. Any vein in the body can become varicose, but these veins typically appear on the thighs and lower legs.
Many varicose veins never cause more than a cosmetic issue, while others might produce the following symptoms:
When symptoms appear, it is time to talk to a doctor about treatment for your varicose veins. Fortunately there are many treatment options available today, allowing your doctor to customize treatment to your specific needs and symptoms. Most patients experience nearly instant relief from uncomfortable symptoms after varicose vein treatment, although it may take some time for the veins themselves to disappear completely. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, contact VIP Vein Center right away to find out how we can help you alleviate uncomfortable side effects of your varicose veins.

Spider veins are similar to varicose veins, but smaller and closer to the surface of the skin. They are often red or blue in color. They often resemble a tree branch or spider web. Spider veins can be found on both the legs and the face.
In most cases there are no symptoms of spider veins. The tiny veins appear on the surface of the skin because blood is restricted from flowing to the affected areas properly. Symptoms often occur during times of prolonged standing or sitting.
Less common symptoms may include tingling, throbbing, pressure in the limbs, tiredness in the limbs, cramping or aching due to decreased blood flow in the areas which the spider veins appear.
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, contact VIP Vein Center right away to find out how we can help you alleviate uncomfortable side effects of your spider veins.

VIP Vein Center treats both varicose and spider veins. Our highly trained vein doctors will recommend treatment based on your symptoms and the root cause of your vein problems. Sometimes a combination of treatments provides maximum results.
The procedure involves the insertion of a tiny laser fiber into the vein, which seals the vein shut so it eventually collapses and fades from view. Blood flow is naturally rerouted through other health veins in the area. The entire treatment is done with minimal discomfort for the patient and almost no downtime afterward. The technique can be used on all types of varicose veins and works particularly well on larger veins that may not respond well to other types of treatment.
Radio Frequency Ablation RFA or VNUS Closure is a new and minimally invasive procedure to treat varicose veins. Prior to this outpatient procedure, varicose veins were treated with traditional surgical approaches such as stripping and vein ligation. Radio frequency ablation uses radio energy to seal the diseased vein shut without the need for invasive surgery in which multiple incisions are necessary. This procedure offers little to no downtime and a quick recovery.
VenaSeal™ is a revolutionary procedure used to treat varicose veins without heat or sclerosing agents. Instead, this procedure delivers a special medical adhesive into the interior of the diseased vein, thus closing it. This approach to vein treatment eliminates the risk of injuring the nerves when treating certain veins. It also prevents the need for multiple sticks with a needle, which increases comfort levels for patients.
VeinGogh™ Ohmic Thermolysis System uses Microburst Technology, or bursts of energy, to treat the vein. The technique utilizes a hair-thin probe that delivers high-frequency electrical energy to the spider vein. The electrical energy heats the vein and causes coagulation of the blood inside the vein, which causes the vein to collapse and eventually disintegrate. Your body routes blood through other veins, and nearby tissue absorbs the remnants of the spider vein. The procedure leaves the outer layers of skin unaffected and undamaged.
Ambulatory phlebectomy may be the appropriate treatment for some types of varicose veins. The vein doctor removes the affected vein through a small incision. This procedure requires local anesthesia. It is associated with minimal scarring and recovery time.
Sclerotherapy is a safe, effective vein treatment for varicose veins and spider veins. Vein surgeons perform sclerotherapy by injecting a solution, known as a “sclerosant,” into the diseased blood vessel. The sclerosant irritates the vein, which causes the vein to collapse, stick together and eventually break apart. Nearby tissue absorbs the vein fragments, leaving behind healthy-looking skin. It takes about three to six weeks to experience relief from spider veins and three to four months to be free of varicose veins.
“This place!! I both got a referral and did some web research and came in and am so glad I did. Dr. Tandon is excellent technically and personally, and explained the procedures and outcomes clearly. He was also fun to talk with during the procedures which is saying a lot when you have a needle in you!”
